Privates am Arbeitsplatz

A few minutes to check personal emails, a few more to call a friend, then just a few more to check last night's scores. Almost every day, workers squeeze in personal tasks around the demands of their jobs. According to a survey of 559 full- and part-time workers, respondents estimate they spend 36 minutes on average each day on their personal business. But managers say it is more like 43 minutes. The average male spends about 44 minutes on personal tasks, more than the average 29 minutes that female workers spend. (The Washington Post, 22-Feb-2007, p. D2)
